What qualifies you as a tour guide?
I hold a Licenciatura in Journalism from the University of Coimbra - a degree that encompasses Communication and History.
Although I currently don’t have an individual tour guiding licence (RNAAT), I have experience in the context of Museology, Enotourism, and Historical tourism. I also had in loco training by Coimbra’s Escola de Hotelaria (EHTC) and by the Tourism Center of the University of Coimbra (NTUC).

What can I expect from a tour?
As a professional guide, I'm committed to providing a high-quality experience catered to your needs!
All of my walking tours are only up to 10 people, thus guaranteeing that the visit is relaxed and cohesive.
Some tours include access to monuments, others do not.
If you're keen on visiting a specific location that requires paid admission, we can arrange a solution in order to include that after the group tour.
Why do you sell prepaid tours on Free Tour?
Currently, I work full-time in the patrimony industry of Coimbra. In my free time, I go back to Viseu and I love reigniting my love of tour guiding! Hence why I'm present in a popular and user-friendly platform such as Free Tour.com.
Even though Free Tour operates on the basis of gratuitous, tip based visits, I chose to protect my resources by having a fixed charge. This allows me to have manageable costs and offer my experience in premium tours at an accessible price.
Furthermore, I have never expected tips from my clients, nor do I think it's appropriate to pressure someone in that sense.
By having a prepaid price, I get to maintain my professional performance - and every participant is given the same chance to access a high-quality tour without the constraint of tipping.

Yes! I'm more than happy to create a tour in Coimbra just for you! Although my availability in Coimbra is more limited due to my full-time job, I can always arrange an activity after hours.

How about the weather?
The tours can take place no matter the weather. If the day chosen for the visit happens to have particularly difficult weather (extreme heat or rain) I reserve the right to cancel the tour. Of course, I'll provide a warning with a minimum of 24 hours in advance in case that occurs.
All tours happen outdoors with occasional moments inside monuments and other establishments; therefore, I recommend you adjust your footwear and dress in layers.
